Springback laws of small diameter LF6 aluminum alloy tube in NC bending

Abstract:

The significant springback after unloading in numerically controlled(NC)bending of aviation small diameter LF6 aluminum alloy tube will affect the geometric and shape accuracy.An elastic-plastic FE model of LF6 aluminum tube in NC bending was established based on FE software AUTOFORM,which reliability has been validated by the experiments.The relationship between springback angle and bending angle was investigated using the model,and the influence significance and rules of the processing parameters on the springback of small diameter LF6 aluminum alloy tube in NC bending was analyzed through virtual orthogonal tests.The results show that the springback angle increases linearly with the increasing of bending angle,and the springback angle reduces as the mandrel protrusion length increases,but increases as the clearance between pressure die and tube and the friction coefficient between pressure die and tube increase.When the relative boosting velocity is lower than 1,the springback angle increases.
